ABOUT US

We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints living and serving right here in Rocklin and Granite Bay.

While this is not an official site of the Church, it’s managed and maintained with love by members who live here. We come from 9 different congregations that gather in 4 different meetinghouses throughout Rocklin and Granite Bay, and visitors are always welcome. In the meantime, we hope you’re able to find uplifting content here and on our various social media profiles.

Katie Gossell, a member of our stake from Granite Bay, was voted by the seniors of GBHS to speak at their commencement ceremony. As Katie teaches Business at GBHS, she chose to speak to the graduates about branding- how do they want to present themselves to the world? How do they want to be known?

She focused on three areas to consider in developing our personal "brand": Authenticity, Consistency, and Networking. She encouraged them to be sure that their words and actions highlight their true strengths and passions and that they be consistent in creating and keeping good habits. She counseled them to build relationships, look for mentors, and to call home!

Katie may not have mentioned the Savior’s name, but her uplifting message of hope and goodness and integrity was indeed "sharing His light in word and deed". We are grateful that she and others who share His light are committed to serving the youth in our community and lifting them higher.

Katie Gossell did a fantastic job at GBHS graduation! Fabulous talk! In fact, I vote she gives the same talk in our next Stake Conference! 😉

Bob that is not how you make/keep friends by suggesting they speak in Stake Conference🤣🤣 My good friend of years, Kay Bacharach, retired from GBHS and that was her last graduation. Thanks for sharing a positive message there Katie.

Michal Johnson Thomas thank you so much tor such a sweet share. 🥰

Becky Wright of Rocklin stake was honored last night by RUSD for her service to the community. Here are some excerpts from Principal Kathy Goddard's presentation:

"We are thrilled to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Becky Wright for her exceptional
dedication and invaluable contributions to Cobblestone Elementary School’s music
program.

Becky, with support from her two daughters, Krissa (9th grade at Whitney) and
Lyndsey (7th grade at Springview) as well as her husband Justin, has demonstrated an
unwavering commitment to fostering a vibrant musical environment and enriching the
lives of our young students through her enthusiastic volunteer work.

From the moment Becky began our choir program as a volunteer, her passion for music
and genuine interest in nurturing the talents of our students became abundantly clear. It is not surprising that she has had over 50 children each session participate in choir!

For over 9 years, Becky has seamlessly integrated herself into our school community,
devoting countless hours to rehearsals, performances, and administrative tasks that
kept our after-school choir program running smoothly. Her organizational skills, creative
ideas, and willingness to go above and beyond have been instrumental in planning successful school assemblies and events in the Rocklin community, including concerts at the Fountains, Starbucks, Borders, and Quarry Park Adventures.

By volunteering her
time and expertise Becky has also demonstrated the profound impact that parents can
have on enriching the educational experience of our students.
In recognition of her outstanding dedication and remarkable contributions, I am proud to
honor Becky tonight. Her selflessness, creativity, and commitment to the arts have truly
made a lasting impression on our school community and helped hundreds of students
experience the joy of music."

We are so proud of you, @tucsonazbec , and the way you shine your light for all to see!
