Our theme for this Stake Conference is “Come Unto Christ“. Don’t know what a stake conference is? Read on!
Congregations in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are known as wards and several wards make up a stake. The word stake in this context comes from Old Testament tent imagery in which the “tent” is held up by supporting stakes (see Isaiah 54:2).
There are 9 wards throughout Rocklin and Granite Bay that make up the Rocklin Stake. We gather in a stake conference twice each year.
COVID-19 has upset our normal schedule of these conferences, but we are indeed moving forward with restrictions on Nov 7th and 8th as follows:
Saturday, November 7th at 4pm
Leadership Training – This will be an in-person (masked and social-distanced) training meeting for those youth and adults who hold leadership callings in the various wards of the Rocklin Stake.
Sunday, November 8th at 10am
General Session – This session is open to ANYONE who would like to listen to Christ-centered messages of hope and love. Due to the number of participants, this session will be virtual and broadcast via YouTube below or at this link:
We look forward to having you join us! Note that we’ll not have a Saturday evening adult session as we normally do.
