UPDATE: Local members of the Church from Rocklin and Granite Bay created a musical presentation and performed it at this event in Coloma. To view a video of the performance, click here.
We have a wonderful event highlighting California Pioneer History coming to our area on Saturday, November 6th at the Marshall Gold Discovery State Park in Coloma from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It’s a FREE FAMILY EVENT featuring Historical Presentations, Crafts, Kids Activities, Parades, Cannon, Musical Performances, Food for purchase and more. The only cost of entry is parking, which is $10 per vehicle.
We encourage you to print & handout, or share online, one of the flyers below to any friends/family/neighbors who may want to participate. Learn about the tremendous impact early pioneers had on the founding and growth of California, from contributions made by the Mormon Battalion, the founding of cities, the discovery of gold at Sutter’s Mill and Mormon Island to California’s first President! Yes, you read that right, California’s first (and only) President!
Don’t miss this great opportunity for your family and friends. To quote Elder Jeffrey R. Holland when he visited this event a couple of years ago: “I’d feel comfortable inviting any friend to this kind of activity. It seems perfect.” All are welcome!
